A beautiful morning everyone! This is The Baking Lassie inviting all cookie monsters out there to try and enjoy the classic chocolate chip cookies. I made it a little bit healthier by adding oatmeal to it so goodbye guilty feeling and hello cookies. Let's start!       The ingredients we need are:      1/3 cup melted butter  1/2 cup brown sugar  1 large egg  1 tsp vanilla  1 1/8 cup flour  1/2 tsp baking soda  1 tsp cornstarch  1/4 tsp salt  1/3 cup chocolate chips  1/3 cup oatmeal     We have to mix the wet ingredients first. In a bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, large egg, and vanilla until everything is incorporated. Then set aside. Easy right?       For the dry ingredients, we will be needing a sifter to avoid clumps of flour when we make the cookie dough. That would make a bitter taste in our cookies and we don't want that to happen.
